Poppy Belle cottage is a delightful, cosy stone cottage with a private garden and stunning views across open fields located within the pretty, quiet village of Glaisdale, North Yorkshire.

The quaint, picturesque village sits on a hillside above the River Esk on the edge of the Coast-to Coast and National Park and is a perfect base from which to explore both the beautiful North York Moors, the heritage Coast and the many quaint little villages tucked away in the valleys.  The village is well-served with local amenities including, Post Office, Shop, local butchers and   Pub, with this and other wonderful rural pubs serving hearty home cooked meals in the surrounding villages.

Out on the moors are the scenic villages of Hutton Le Hole, Thornton le Dale or Helmsley, with its castle and gardens all waiting to be explored. The coastline from Saltburn-by-the-Sea to Filey is a place of rugged beauty, with many isolated fishing villages such as Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay all just a short drive away. The property is situated just 10 miles from the coastal town of Whitby, famous for its links to Dracula and award winning fish and chips, with its year round events and festivals such as the Goth Weekend and the Steampunk Weekend, and boat trips out to sea.  Not far away is the North York steam railway where you can take a steam journey into ‘Heartbeat’ country, Goathland; the market towns of Pickering, Kirkbymoorside and Malton; and Dalby Forest with its outdoor activities, including “Go Ape” climbing and zip wire. Venture further afield to the seaside towns of Scarborough or Redcar; the port of Middlesborough ; or the renowned   city of York – all offering an array of attractions and activities to suit everyone.
